LadyGaga had a meeting with the performer Lady Starlight during this time; after a performance at the Lollapalooza Festival in 2007 Gaga was signed by Vince Herbert to Streamline Records which is an imprint owned by Interscope Records. In 2008, Gaga released her first album 'The fame' to little radio attention. Gaga toured around Europe as well as in gay clubs in the US to promote the album , but it wasn't until her first hit "Just Dance" was brought to the attention of the public in 2009 that Gaga exploded onto the scene of music. Gaga was suffering with a hip injury called a labral her right hip. She was taking care of it in secret for several months with the hope of being enough to go on tour. She was unable to walk after a show in Toronto and was suffering from severe pain. The tour was stopped.
