Tessa Tessa Amanda AmandaPointe Claire, a quiet area within The West Island of Montreal is where you can find a range of small-scale businesses. The West Island, which is frequently referred to as a distinct "island" located west of Montreal by people who are unfamiliar with it, actually comprises everything to the west of Lachine. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island, but the time she spent there was brief. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa. The first goal she had was to become a dancer but her growing years meant that she grew beyond her dance partners. She admitted in an article that was published in The Toronto Star that she was 6'1" tall, even when she was wearing heels. When I outgrew my male partners and stopped dancing, I quit. The former dancers usually turn towards acting. In Bruce's case, it was the encouragement of her drama instructor at high school which led her to take the step she required. The teacher was the one who recommended her to audition for the role of Anne for their school's annual production. She was suggested by her teacher to try out for a role in the annual school production. It was her turn to be selected to portray Anne of Green Gables. This resulted in an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program which she graduated with her Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in 2000.In the 20+ years since, Brugel has landed roles in more than 60 productions on the big and small screen, attracting the greatest attention when she landed the part of Rita on the award-winning television series, The Handmaid's Tale
